Things to Know Before Joining
What are the benefits of joining Manila House?
Members get access to 12 private spaces including dining at Issho restaurant, a pool deck, coworking areas, meeting rooms, and event venues on the 8th floor of Seven NEO in BGC. The club also hosts regular events, talks, and screenings. That said, the joining fee starts at ₱280,000 (Associate) or ₱336,000 (Regular) plus ₱47,040 in annual dues — so the value depends heavily on how often you'd actually use the facilities. Non-members can sometimes visit as a guest of existing members, which may be worth trying first.
Is Manila House exclusive?
Yes. Manila House is a private members-only club — you can't walk in off the street. Membership requires an application with two valid IDs and three specimen signatures, a review process that takes 10–20 days, and potentially an interview by the Membership Committee. The high joining fee (starting at ₱280,000) also acts as a financial barrier. Non-members can only enter as guests of current members. The club positions itself as serving the "business, creative, cultural, and intellectual communities," though in practice the cost limits access to higher-income individuals.
How does Manila House compare to other private clubs?
Manila House's Associate membership starts at ₱327,040 and Regular at ₱383,040 — on the higher end for private social clubs in Metro Manila. Other private clubs in BGC and Makati may have different fee structures: some charge lower joining fees with higher monthly dues, while others bundle food and beverage minimums. It's worth comparing the actual amenities and how often you'd realistically visit before committing to any club.
